My background
My dream of truly making an impact in Volleyball is coming true.
At the age of 19, I started coaching High School Freshman and JV teams then club before even competing. I was in college and majoring in Kinesiology looking for a team sport to be involved in after living a life of Tennis. My perspective on the sport influenced my play and I quickly starting playing sand volleyball on the AVP amateur tours in Florida. I competed on the club Volleyball team at the University of Florida my graduate year before going off to coach Division 1 Volleyball at the University of Tennessee Martin. After assisting to turn the program around to two winning seasons I was offered the assistant position at Georgia State University in Atlanta. At this point, I had also coached club volleyball in various states and was getting to know the lay of the land in terms of talent and differences in training nationwide. Moving to San Antonio allowed me to continue coaching club and giving private lessons weekly which I really enjoyed. My last season coaching college college level was at UTSA in 2010 before changing careers into the medical field.
My Support Team
I am blessed to have both family and friends in my support circle. They are always ready to provide a sounding board and words of encouragement whenever needed. I feel they often believe in my dreams more than I do!
My Winning Philosophy
I believe in sportsmanship first. While I am very competitive, I also want to support all the competitors as we strive to make the sport of Volleyball a positive experience for all. I work every day to better myself and to better the experience for others in this amazing sport!
